To design an all-ages interactive water park that anchors Cowell’s foreshore transformation, elevating the region’s liveability and drawing visitors to the Eyre Peninsula.
Delivered as part of the District Council of Franklin Harbour’s visionary foreshore redevelopment, the Cowell Water Park brings interactive water play to the foreshore, creating a genuine family destination on the Eyre Peninsula. An unsupervised button-activated system for the water features reduces power and chemical consumption when the park sits idle, reflecting the council’s commitment to a sustainable outcome. The result is a considered water play destination that has lifted the profile of the region — recognised with Gold for Commercial Water Display at the 2023 SPASA South Australian Awards, and named a Finalist at the National Awards in the same category.
