The splashpad© at Ryan Mitchell Aquatic Centre forms a key centrepiece of a broader aquatic re-development in Port Augusta, introducing contemporary water play to a facility that had served the community for over five decades. Designed with safety and accessibility at its core, the installation incorporates Life Floor surfacing — a material that balances slip resistance with strong aesthetic appeal — setting a considered tone for the overall precinct upgrade. The result was recognised at the highest level of the industry, with the project taking out Gold at both the South Australian and National SPASA Awards for Commercial Renovation in 2023 — a testament to the standard of work delivered across the entire development.
